Valencia airport now enjoys good connections at
discount prices from the likes of Easyjet and Ryanair, giving it
a new found accessibility appeal that Alicante has enjoyed for many
years. The effect has been instant and many are looking towards
us from the Costa Blanca areas for cheaper homes and the real Spain.

The Castellon province will soon have its own
airport. The project has been given the go-ahead to be built in
the Vilanova d'Alcolea district, north of Castellon capital and
inland from Torreblanca, a booming holiday resort. Work is now underway.
Up until now Castellon has been the only province on the Mediteranean
without an airport so it will now be competing for a share in the
turism market as well as industry.
The installations will receive national and international traffic
with an estimated 600 000 passengers and 5000 flights in its first
year which will increase in the following years.
The airport "Castellón-Costa Azahar" will become
decisive in the development of the province.
